Our second scheduled work party took place on the Wednesday after Boxing Day and the turnout was spectacular. We carried on with the scrub bashing, clearing the aqueduct and lock, and generally tidying the site. The far end of the aqueduct wall has now been exposed, showing just how much of it still remains. If all goes to plan in February we will finally be able to see both sides of the aqueduct and the arches. It will then be possible to see just how much restoration work is required.
