Npower @ Latton

Npower are rapidly becoming regulars at the Basin.  They recently attacked, and defeated, a large tree stump in the Lock entrance.  I unfortunately wasn't there to take pictures of them working, but this was the stump they dug out, and the rebuilt wing wall.

They were back again on the 4th of June working on the east side of the aqueduct.  One end of the aqueduct had partially collapsed and had a large stump growing from it, the other end had a small tree growing out from between the stones.  By the end of the day the collapsed end had been cleared and is now ready to be re-instated, the other end saw the removal of the tree and and the stones replaced.  They also cleared a lot of weed from below the aqueduct which was preventing the even run off of water.  As a bonus the large pile of stone on top of the aqueduct was repositioned to allow Bob to get his mower down to the towpath.  An excellent days work and we hope to see them back again soon.
